There is now a script to install everything.
First install Ubuntu.
Then just run this script:
bash <(wget -qO- --no-cache https://raw.githubusercontent.com/chrisl8/ArloBot/master/setup.sh)
and you are done!
To update your code just run the same script again and it will pull down and compile anything new without erasing custom settings.
After that you'll just need to edit the config files as noted by the script,
and then set up your Propeller Code for Arlobot.
As always, please let me know if you find any problems!
Hello,
I can’t find any contact info in the site so forgive me for using the comment section. I’m Algen, I work with engineering website EEWeb.com and would love to have your website featured as a site of the day on EEWeb. Is this of interest to you?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Algen
Chris, I have used your install script on a fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04.
ROS and things seem to work fine, but anything that changes X like going to the search button on the top left of the dock gives nothing but garbled video.
I read something somewhere, I think on the ROS install page that there are certain packages that should NOT be installed on 14.04 and it wrecks X.
Do you know anything about this ?
Thanks,
JT
